About the Journal

Proceeding of International Conference on Education, Language, Literacies, and Literary Studies (ICONELS) is an annual international event organized by the German Literature Department at Universitas Negeri Malang. Its primary goal is to provide a platform for educators, researchers, and students in pedagogy, language, literature, and German Studies (DaF) to share and exchange experiences. The conference emphasizes the complex interactions between education, language, literacy, and literary studies, highlighting the global significance of literacy in various forms, and aims to advance the fields of German Studies and DaF.

Supported by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), ICONELS facilitates the exchange of ideas and knowledge on a global scale, encouraging intercultural scientific dialogue and collaboration among participants from diverse backgrounds. The program includes presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, allowing educators and researchers to share innovative findings and discuss current trends.

Focused on the theme "Bridging Borders: Education, Language, Literature, and Culture on SDGs Awareness in the Era Society 5.0," the conference addresses various subthemes related to sustainable development, multilingualism, digital literacy, and more. Ultimately, ICONELS aims to enhance international academic networks and contribute positively to global educational and literary development.
